When to use this
Use this page when Portovenere is being considered as a ferry-linked add-on, wider UNESCO landscape stop, or adjacent coastal base.
Why it matters
Portovenere can strengthen a Ligurian coast trip, but it is not one of the five villages and should not be folded into Cinque Terre as if access worked the same way. Its usefulness depends heavily on ferry seasonality, local access, and how much time the trip has.
