Sentiero Azzurro

Coastal blue trail system that can shape a Cinque Terre trip but needs current status checks before any route promise.

When to use this

Use this page when the coastal trail is a reason for the trip and could change the village order, card value, or fallback plan.

Why it matters

Sentiero Azzurro is the main coastal trail to assess when planning Cinque Terre, but conditions change frequently. The right advice depends on current open sections, weather, paid access, one-way controls, fitness, footwear, and crowd pressure.

Planning limits

Check the official Park trail network, warnings, weather, difficulty notes, one-way controls, and paid-access rules before planning a hike. Check each section separately. The Park currently lists the Manarola–Corniglia coastal section as closed. Monterosso also has a local Servano closure notice: check the signed access route and current notices before setting out.
